Kelowna has a vibrant and diverse music scene filled with highly-talented artists and plenty of great shows, but it’s not every night that you can catch Order of Canada recipients and JUNO nominees performing for FREE! However, on Wednesday, August 16th, you can do just that.

Okanagan Feast of Fields takes place this year on Sunday, August 13th and truly is one of the foodie events of the year. Each year at this movable feast, the Okanagan’s best chefs, farmers, artisans and wine and drink makers gather together on a beautiful farm.

There are always so many things to do during the summer in Kelowna, as a local I can’t fit them all in. Among the festivals and events are a few free activities to put on your list this summer, it’s a great chance try something new to you, see you out there.

Kelowna has something for everyone this coming Canada Day long weekend. Whether you want to swim in the lake, dine in the vineyards, take in a festival, listen to live music, explore and learn with your family, or all of the above... the event selection this year will have you wearing red and white to show your Canadian pride.

How would you like to take a journey through some of the finest gardens Kelowna has to offer? Well, you can do that this coming Saturday, June 17th on the 20th annual Flower Power Kelowna Garden Tour. Get some inspiration, uncover some tips or simply enjoy the splendour of beautiful gardens on this self-guided tour.

The arrival of summer is one of my favourite times of year. I enjoy being outdoors with friends on patios, hiking with my dog, spending the day at the beach, and of course taking in all the great outdoor events in this beautiful city I call home. Here are a few of the events taking place this summer that should be on your must-attend list. See you there!

When I think of the roaring twenties, I think of flapper dresses and smoky cabarets with candle lit tables. The Kelowna Actors Studio transports you back to that era with their cabaret-style dinner theatre which features F Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby from May 31st to June 17th.
