Usually completed between every three or four years, the Visitor Intercept Survey is a series of surveys done in different seasons to collect information from visitors while in Kelowna. The visitor intercept report takes into account seasonal visitation, interest in activities and attractions, reasons for travel, and collect data about length of stay, activities completed, and spending habits.
Economic Impact Reports are also completed between every three or four years, following the Visitor Intercept Survey, and calculate employment numbers, taxation levels, visitor spending and overall economic impact to the local economy.
On occasion, Tourism Kelowna will partner with major events to conduct economic impact studies when held in Kelowna and area.
