It's the most wonderful time of the year! With snow-dusted mountains, mild weather to enjoy winter activities, and a variety of events to attend, Kelowna is magical during the holidays.
Twinkling lights abound — take a walk through the illuminated Gellatly Nut Farm or head to Candy Cane Lane to pick your favourite house. Head up to Big White Ski Resort for their Christmas Eve festival (including a fireworks display) or spend Christmas Day on the slopes with good ol' Saint Nick. Or, get into the holiday spirit at one of the many themed events, including craft markets, concerts, and live theatre.
Still looking for more to do? How about ice skating on the lakeside rink in downtown Kelowna? Or visiting a winery for a tasting? What about savouring a traditional Christmas dinner at one of the local restaurants? You'll have no shortage of things to do!
Once New Year's Eve rolls around, take your pick of celebratory events. Whether you want to enjoy a multi-course dinner, a night on the dancefloor, or fun with the whole family, Kelowna has you covered. The annual Valley First New York New Years offers free fun for the whole family, with live music, activity stations, games, and more outdoors at Stuart Park, along with the Valley First Warm-up Zone indoors at the Kelowna Community Theatre. There are also plenty of choices for the adults, from comedy and club crawls to winery dinners and live music — you can even kickstart the evening with a run or walk at the annual Resolution Run.
