While you’re planning your visit, and while exploring Kelowna and area, keep these things in mind to stay safe this summer:
The best way to make sure you have the best time in Kelowna is to plan ahead, and book reservations where possible, especially during holidays.
In the case of accommodations or other reservations, be sure to fully understand refund or cancellation policies at each business in the event you have to change your plans.
Visiting parks in and around Kelowna is a great way to get out into nature and visit with others. Always remember to practice Leave No Trace principles to ensure our wild spaces are safe and clean for the next visitor and be AdventureSmart when exploring outdoors.
Be fire smart by adhering to all fire bans, do not set off fireworks (it is illegal in Kelowna), don't toss cigarette butts, and be cautious about any activities that can create a spark or heat source sufficient enough to ignite a fire.
When on the water take the proper boating and lake safety measures so everyone can have fun.
Physical distancing and washing your hands or using hand sanitizer are one of the easiest ways to keep yourself and those around you safe and comfortable. Respect other people's space and where possible stay 2 metres (6 feet) away from others.
It may take time for businesses to get back to fully normal operation levels. In order to have the best time in Kelowna, make sure you follow these 3 steps before and during your time in Kelowna:
