2 Days in Kelowna

FALL

Changing leaves, apples in season, grapes being harvested, and comfortable daytime temperatures; fall is a great time to take in the bounty of the Central Okanagan.

Day 1

Check in at Myra Canyon Ranch situated in the hills above Kelowna, just below Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park, the ranch is the perfect place to take in the views of Okanagan Lake and the surrounding mountains as the leaves are changing and the larches are turning yellow. Once you've settled in, be sure to go on a on a horseback ride, explore Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park, or bike along the Myra Canyon Trestles. Then head into town to pick up the best in-season produce at a farm market and other local goodies, including wine, to use to cook your own meal up at the ranch as the sunsets over the lake.

Day 2

Visit a bakery or coffee shop in downtown Kelowna for a morning pick me up, while you're there pick up a loaf of bread or pastries for an afternoon picnic or snack. After strolling along the waterfront and visiting the locally owned shops, grab lunch at a restaurant along Bernard Avenue before heading out for an afternoon wine tour. Choices are endless in the fall, choose one of five one trails and take your time as you wind your way through the valley trying new wines, taking in harvesting activities and, maybe even get a chance to speak to the wine maker. Finish your tour with dinner at one of the newer winery restaurants, Home Block (opened May 2019) at CedarCreek Estate Winery or The Modest Butcher (opening 2020) at Mt. Boucherie Estate Winery
