Businesses in Kelowna have the opportunity to take part in a couple of programs designed to promote and support local.
Temporary Outdoor Patio & Retail Program
At the end of May, the City of Kelowna announced a temporary outdoor patio and retail program in response to COVID-19. The program is intended to help affected businesses expand to outdoor spaces, assisting with operations and social distancing. Temporary patios and retail areas will be allowed to operate until October 12, 2020, and applications are still being accepted.
Downtown Kelowna Association (DKA) members can take advantage of a 25% discount on all rental equipment (tents, tables, chairs, etc.) and services (deliver/labour fees), with promo code DKA-SUMMER2020, from the following providers:

Downtown Kelowna Loop
The DKA has partnered with GetintheLoop (GITL) to establish a Downtown Kelowna Loop, which will allow customers to see which businesses are active on the platform as they explore the city centre. Downtown Kelowna businesses can access GITL's mobile marketing platform for free, providing another way to digitally connect with local residents and visitors and to promote offers and incentives.
