We are excited to share the news that Meghan Olson has moved into the Volunteer & Events Coordinator role within Tourism Kelowna's Community & Visitor Engagement Team. Meghan has been a key team member over the past year while working full-time at Okanagan + Co., welcoming travellers and promoting our retail program. In her new role, Meghan will oversee Tourism Kelowna's volunteer program, plan and execute mobile visitor services within the Central Okanagan, and coordinate the distribution of marketing materials to our members.
Before joining our team, Meghan worked at the visitor centre in her hometown of Burns Lake. She has always enjoyed meeting people and building meaningful connections—she is the epitome of our core values when it comes to being both welcoming and nurturing. With that, she is excited to connect with all our volunteers, as well as with visitors and residents within the community.
A fun fact about Meghan is that she was a cheer team captain while attending Thompson Rivers University. She also dreams about owning her own resort one day where she can provide a memorable visitor experience for those staying on-site.
