During these last few days, it's been easy to get caught up in the media stories coming fast and furious about COVID-19. For those of us who rely on the meetings industry to bring visitors and much-needed revenue to our destination, we have watched in apprehension to determine just what effect this will have on the year ahead. It doesn't seem like that long ago that we had to rise up and rally to remind government and corporations the value of face-to-face meetings, which was the birth of Global Meetings Industry Day.  …
