We are excited to welcome and introduce Vanessa Osborne, who joins Tourism Kelowna's team as a Business Development Sales Manager.In her role, Vanessa will represent Tourism Kelowna in the Eastern Canadian and US markets, connecting with meeting and event planners to prospect and secure business for our destination. She will also coordinate familiarization tours for planners, assist with bid preparation, provide hosting consultation for planners, and more. She will work closely with her counterpart, Nicolle Gomez de Sousa, who handles the Western Canadian and US markets.

With over seven years of diverse experience in the tourism, hospitality, and live-event sectors, Vanessa has emerged as an experienced professional, leaving a lasting impact on the industry through her notable contributions.  Recognized for her strategic vision and the implementation of impactful initiatives, Vanessa excels in driving growth and cultivating key relationships. Merging strategic insight with genuine enthusiasm for community-driven initiatives, she has skillfully established a well-regarded presence at the intersection of destination marketing, not-for-profit associations, and the broader hospitality landscape.

Vanessa was born and raised in Hamilton, ON, where she resides with her husband, Douglas, and 4-year-old golden retriever, Ollie. Whether jet-setting to a bustling city or trekking through serene landscapes, Vanessa finds joy in the thrill of exploration. The great outdoors, especially hiking trails off the beaten path, serve as her sanctuary—where she can connect with nature and recharge.  Her journey is not just about seeing the world but engaging with local communities, understanding their unique perspectives, and embracing the opportunity to authentically experience the richness of each culture firsthand.
