Okanagan Sun - football team

The Okanagan Sun have been playing junior football since 1981, winning 14 BC Football Conference titles and two national titles. Home games are played in the Apple Bowl, a 2,200 seat outdoor stadium near the downtown area www.okanagansun.ca

Kelowna Raiders - lacrosse team

The Kelowna Raiders play out of historic Memorial Arena. The Raiders have won many titles since their inception into the Thompson Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League, capturing the league’s Shaw Cup, Canada’s oldest lacrosse symbol, as recently as 2014 www.kelownaraiderslacrosse.com

Kelowna Chiefs - junior B hockey club 

The Kelowna Chiefs play out of the Rutland West arena complex, hosting other teams competing in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League www.kelownachiefs.com

UBCO Heat - UBC's Okanagan campus athletics

Varsity basketball, volleyball, and soccer teams compete in Canada West, with home games from August through February at Nonis Sports Field and UBC Okanagan Gymnasium. Other sports at UBC Okanagan include cross country, golf, and rugby www.athletics.ok.ubc.ca 

Okanagan Roller Derby – women’s flat track 

Teams including the Bad Apple Betties and Sun City Sirens can be seen training downtown at Stuart Park, preparing for bouts from March through July at flat track roller derby venues such as Central Sports Club www.okrd.ca
