The #exploreKelowna Creators have recently posted their first round of content, resulting in an incredible collection of stories that highlight the magic of summer in Kelowna, making the initial phase of the program a success.

Launched in 2022, the #exploreKelowna Creator Program allows creatives within the Central Okanagan to amplify their voices, perspectives, and styles, capturing the essence of our vibrant region. In 2024, the program is collaborating with five local creators, each bringing a diverse array of interests and creative lenses. The goal is to create opportunities for these creators to collaborate, connect, and grow within the Central Okanagan community.

If you or your business are interested in collaborating with the #exploreKelowna Creators for our upcoming fall/winter campaigns or working with them directly, please contact me at darby@tourismkelowna.com for more information.

Results

The primary platform for sharing the Creators' content is the @tourismkelowna Instagram account. However, many creators have also extended their reach by sharing content on other platforms, such as TikTok and Facebook. We're excited to share the key results from Instagram for the first contributions to the program.

The initial five Creator Instagram posts, which highlight 18 local businesses in total, have achieved the following results:

  • Reached over 110,000 unique accounts.
  • Garnered over 170,000 Plays (from 4 Reels total, excluding the one carousel post).
  • Received over 7,000 Interactions (Likes, Comments, Shares).
  • Over 2,100 Shares, which is one of the most important metrics.
