Tourism Kelowna is pleased to welcome Shereen Abbas to our team, as she takes on the Travel Media & Communications role for the organization. In this role, Shereen will be primarily responsible for our earned media efforts including our travel media and influencer programs while also ensuring our local media and social media efforts continue to grow and deliver results for the organization.
Shereen has great marketing and communications experience, having worked with a number of local tourism businesses in the wine, lifestyle, and development sectors here in Kelowna and the Central Okanagan. Her journalism education background, communications experience, and general love for Kelowna make her a great addition to the team.
Shereen loves to travel and take in new sights and sounds, but it’s here in the Okanagan where she’s found the ideal mix of her hobbies and passions—great food, wine, fitness, and outdoor activities—that contribute to an ideal Okanagan lifestyle. She loves Kelowna’s four-season outdoor playground and looks forward to continuing to #exploreKelowna and find unique and compelling media stories and angles to generate coverage for our destination.
