What an exciting year it has been for Kelowna! From welcoming the 2025 Montana's Brier in March to hosting CCMA Country Music Week 2025 in September and, most recently, becoming Canada’s first UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, there has been no shortage of newsworthy activity in our region. Thanks to all this and more, Kelowna has generated media interest and compelling story opportunities throughout the year.
In the first three quarters of the year, Kelowna has garnered more than 270 media placements, nationally and internationally, for a total reach of 83 million. Today, I am pleased to share a selection of coverage highlights resulting from Tourism Kelowna-hosted familiarization (FAM) trips, as well as press trips we supported, which were hosted by partners including The Royal Kelowna, Iconic Wineries of BC (Mission Hill Family Estate, CedarCreek Estate Winery), Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, and Destination BC.
