Spring. Now with more Summer.
While the sun is giving the cold shoulder to the rest of the country, it’s toasting our more than 17 fairways. Winter weary? Then come to Kelowna. We’re happy to share it all. The wine tours. The golfing. Even the beaches.
Summer. Weeks filled with weekends.
In Kelowna weekdays blend right in with the weekends during the summer. There's the carefree pulse of fun on the beaches and the lake, patios are alive and the fairways are playful. Everyday is the weekend.
Fall. The new summer.
Fall often gets confused with summer in Kelowna. The weather is perfectly summery. The patios are still vibrant, the water is still warm, the beaches are still busy and we celebrate the grape.
Winter. Snow much fun.
Kelowna has world-class ski hills and awe-inspiring back country to make winter holidays truly spectacular. But don't pack your heavy parkas. In Kelowna, even the winters are relatively mild which makes wine touring to our over 20 wineries an ideal activity this time of year. Exploring the Cultural District or downtown shopping are fun activities, too!.
Golf
The Okanagan offers one of the longest, driest golf seasons in Canada. Tee box views of vineyards, orchards, semi-desert terrain, rolling hills and expansive lakes are stunning. With courses that range from easy-going to ego-shattering, there's a level of play everyone can enjoy.
Wine
The Okanagan Valley is known for its spectacular vineyards producing premium quality wines that regularly win national and international wine competitions. Few wine-producing regions in the world can match our combination of mountains, lakes, fresh air and intense sunlight with so many grape varieties.
Lake
Stunning Okanagan Lake spans 110 km from north to south. Kelowna sits just about half way with east and west sides of the lake connected by the William R. Bennett Bridge. The lake is welcoming and refreshing during the hot summer, but it also has its mysteries; tombs and lake creatures, hidden coves and isolated beaches. Speaking of beaches, there are about 30 in the area ranging in size and scope. Even mainstreet ends at the beach!
Dining
Enjoy lattés at street-side cafés, appetizers on rooftop patios or nightcaps by a marina under a starry night sky. Menu choices range from contemporary bistro or tantalizing ethnic selections to popular pub-style or health-oriented juice/java bar fare. For a unique dining experience, try partnering delectable cuisine with an unforgettable adventure such as cruising Okanagan Lake onboard a houseboat or yacht.
