Arts and culture are a vital part of Kelowna's community. A 2019 economic impact study found that 1.5 million people per year, or just over 4,000 people per day on average, attend some cultural facility or event in Kelowna. The report also estimated that 30% of public attendees at creative sector facilities and events are tourists, suggesting the creative sector supports $40 million of tourist spending.

The new Arts & Culture marketing program and the #exploreKelowna Arts & Culture pass align with several of the strategies outlined in the City of Kelowna's 2020-2025 Cultural Plan while also contributing to the segment of the plan's vision whereby Kelowna is recognized as a four-season destination with a rich variety of high-quality arts, culture, and heritage experiences.

The #exploreKelowna Pass program is a great way to increase exposure for your business, receive data about visitation, and collaborate on marketing for your sector. Interested in learning more about the #exploreKelowna Passes and how you can participate? Contact me at carla@tourismkelowna.com.
