The Canadian Country Music Association® (CCMA®) recently announced that the 2025 CCMA Awards will take place at Kelowna’s Prospera Place on Saturday, September 13. This marks the third time Country Music Week will be hosted in British Columbia, set against the backdrop of the stunning Okanagan Valley for the first time in what’s sure to be four unforgettable days celebrating Canada’s vibrant country music community.
Country Music Week 2025, which kicks off September 10, and the 2025 CCMA Awards offer fans the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get close to all their favourite artists, showcasing and celebrating some of country music’s biggest stars and homegrown talent. Country Music Week 2025 is proudly supported by Tourism Kelowna, the City of Kelowna, Creative BC, the Province of British Columbia, and the 2025 Host Committee.
“We are thrilled to bring the 2025 CCMA Awards and Country Music Week to Kelowna this September,” shares Amy Jeninga, President, CCMA. “The response from fans has already been incredible, and we can’t wait to experience Kelowna’s breathtaking scenery and vibrant spirit together. This is the perfect setting to celebrate Canadian country music, and we’re excited to create unforgettable moments alongside artists, fans, and the community.”
“Hosting the nation’s largest country music event is a chance for us to show all of Canada everything Kelowna has to offer. Over the four unforgettable days, the city will write its own country music story, and we’re ready to showcase the very best of the Okanagan—from our vibrant arts scene to our world-class hospitality—there’s something here for everyone to enjoy,” says Kelowna Mayor, Tom Dyas.
CTV remains the exclusive broadcaster of the 2025 CCMA Awards, airing live on Saturday, September 13. Pre-sale tickets went on sale Wednesday, November 20, while general ticket sales kicked off today via Select Your Tickets.
“We are all so excited for Kelowna to host our first Canadian Country Music Week, and you can feel the energy growing,” said Lisanne Ballantyne, President & CEO of Tourism Kelowna. “September is an amazing time to come and explore Kelowna and the Central Okanagan, and now that the dates are set and the tickets are available, we recommend you start planning and booking now. We’ve got information on our website to help you, and community specialists standing by to help you make your plans and build your itinerary.”
2025 is gearing up to be an exciting year for residents and businesses in Kelowna, as two of Canada's most prominent events—Montana's Brier taking place in March 2025 and Country Music Week in September 2025—take place in the city.
Events of this calibre offer a welcome economic boost for the local community, building up visitation during months when availability is higher. Country Music Week 2025 is forecast to generate over 2,000 room nights (not counting fans or families), resulting in an estimated economic impact of over $11 million in Kelowna and BC. In addition to attending events for Country Music Week, visitors will be encouraged to explore our region and visit our restaurants, eateries, and coffee shops, share tastings at breweries and wineries, and visit local attractions. Country Music Week 2023, held in Hamilton, saw an economic impact of $11.2 million, with over $1.2 million in tax revenues. Over 80% of the attendees were from out of the region and travelled to Hamilton for the event.
Country Music Week was secured in part through Tourism Kelowna's Major Events Strategy in partnership with the City of Kelowna. This collaboration positioned Kelowna as the perfect host for the 2025 Country Music Week, with our team assisting in preparing the bid document, securing funding, and nurturing key relationships with the Canadian Country Music Association, Creative BC, the Province of BC, and key local stakeholders.
