Kelowna is gearing up for one final major sporting event to cap off the Year of Sport, and local businesses have an opportunity to be part of the action.
From October 30 to November 1, Prospera Place will host 2026 Skate Canada International, bringing three days of world-class figure skating to the heart of downtown Kelowna. Olympic and World medallists will take to the ice alongside elite skaters from around the globe, including some of Canada’s top athletes.
As the second competition of the annual ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix, Skate Canada International is expected to draw athletes, coaches, teams, families, and fans to Kelowna, creating exciting opportunities for the local tourism industry, including retailers, restaurants, and other local businesses, to welcome visitors and showcase everything our community has to offer.
