Ready to share your experience and expertise with Canada’s culinary and agritourism community? The 2027 Taste of Place Summit is calling!
The Culinary Tourism Alliance invites industry leaders, practitioners, and changemakers to submit proposals to speak at the 2027 Summit, taking place in Kelowna this spring.
Proposed content, including engaging presentations, panels, workshops, and case studies, should offer practical, inspiring ideas. The Program Committee will prioritize sessions that:
- Demonstrate measurable results and impact
- Share practical tools, frameworks, and lessons learned
- Highlight replicable models that can be adapted by other destinations
- Feature diverse voices and perspectives
- Showcase collaboration across tourism, food, beverage, agriculture, and community sectors
- Advance one or more pillars of the National Culinary & Agritourism Action Plan
- Provide actionable takeaways that delegates can implement immediately
Selected presenters will receive:
- Complimentary Summit registration
- Travel expenses
- Accommodations during the Summit

About Taste of Place Summit 2027
The Taste of Place Summit will be hosted in Kelowna, Canada's first UNESCO City of Gastronomy, on May 17 and 18, 2027. The Summit will bring together destination and economic developers, tourism leaders, marketers, producers and changemakers from across Canada and beyond to explore the future of culinary and agritourism.
Hosted by the Culinary Tourism Alliance (CTA) in partnership with the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, the two-day summit will showcase the region’s rich culinary and agritourism landscape while creating opportunities for delegates to exchange ideas, build connections and discover practical strategies for developing authentic tastes of place.
The Summit will demonstrate how food, agriculture, tourism and community can work together to create memorable visitor experiences and stronger local economies. On May 17, delegates will embark on one of four carefully curated, immersive Learning Journeys throughout the Okanagan Valley. The following day, delegates will come together for a full day of speakers, panel discussions, and networking with destination developers, thought leaders, marketers and stakeholders from across the culinary tourism value chain.
