Congratulations, and thanks, are in order for Carla Bechard, who has recently accepted a new role within Tourism Kelowna to lead our Marketing Programs and Partnerships initiatives. Since joining our organization nearly three years ago, Carla has expertly led our efforts on travel media and earned media, hosting media from across North America and select international travel writers, too.

Carla has a finger on the pulse of what's new and noteworthy in our destination, often representing us at travel media events and tradeshows. Through organizing detailed and interesting familiarization tours, she's been able to meet and know many of the tremendous people that make up our local tourism industry. 

With much of our travel media program paused over the last two years, Carla took on new assignments to coordinate our involvement in many partner marketing programs and local activations, including our #exploreKelownalocal and #exploreKelownatoday campaigns. She also introduced the #exploreKelowna Creator Program featuring local content creators and handled our social media accounts for a number of months.

Moving forward, Carla's primary focus will be on developing and implementing Tourism Kelowna's marketing programs for members and advertisers and coordinating our involvement with industry partners and neighbouring communities to execute collaborative marketing programs.
