Fall’s final glow and winter’s first whispers—November in Kelowna is a season of transition and charm
November in Kelowna bridges two seasons—autumn’s golden glow giving way to winter’s sparkle. Early in the month, you can still savour crisp hikes, winery visits, and the last of the fall harvest. By the end, the region shifts into winter mode, with ski hills opening, festive lights appearing, and the first taste of holiday cheer filling the air. It’s a month of change, and a chance to experience the best of both worlds. Read on to discover what November has in store in and around Kelowna.

As the weather cools, Kelowna’s coffee culture offers the perfect way to warm up. Independent cafés across the city serve up seasonal favourites alongside expertly crafted classics—think pumpkin-spiced lattes, velvety cappuccinos, and rich pour-overs made with beans roasted right here in the valley. Local roasters like Bean Scene Coffeeworks, Bright Jenny Coffee, Anarchy Coffee Roasters, and Craft 42 Roasters bring their own unique flavour profiles to every cup. Pair your drink with fresh-baked treats and hearty bites from spots such as Bliss Bakery & Bistro, Sprout Bread, and Bread Co. Whether you’re fuelling up for a fall adventure or lingering over a slow morning, Kelowna’s coffee shops serve comfort in every sip.

Fall is the perfect season to immerse yourself in Kelowna’s arts and culture scene, especially on cooler, rain-kissed days. Downtown, you’ll find galleries, performing arts groups and theatres, and museums just steps apart, making it easy to spend a whole day wandering from one creative space to the next. Kelowna’s creative energy is as vibrant as the season outside.
At the Kelowna Art Gallery, current exhibitions like "To Be Something More" by Sandeep Johal and "Seriously? Comedy and Satire in Canadian Art 1970s–Now" invite you to see, reflect, and connect.
Kelowna’s stages light up in November, offering performances as dynamic as the season itself. To open its 2025/26 season, Ballet Kelowna presents Countermove—a powerful triple bill blending eclectic works that stretch the boundaries of ballet—at the Kelowna Community Theatre on November 7 and 8. Just days later, the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra will perform Music Without Borders, conducted by Dinuk Wijeratne, on November 14.
For live music lovers, the month overflows with choice. At the Kelowna Community Theatre, Canadian pop and R&B artist, Shawn Desman, takes the stage on November 20, followed by country icons, Terri Clark and Paul Brandt, on November 22 and 23. Over at Prospera Place, big-name acts including Brad Paisley, Foreigner, and Papa Roach bring arena-worthy energy. More intimate venues—like Creekside Theatre, Rotary Centre for the Arts, Revelry Food + Music Music Hub, and Red Bird Brewing—round out the lineup with performances that keep Kelowna’s music scene buzzing all month long.

November marks the unofficial start of the holiday season, and Kelowna embraces it with sparkle and spirit. On November 22, 2025, the Tree of Hope Festival at the Landmark District brings community and generosity together under one glowing display, while the Festival of Trees celebration at Mission Hill Family Estate also kicks off, running through until January 4, 2026.
Holiday markets fill the month with opportunities to shop local and soak up festive cheer. Craft Culture will host three of its four seasonal markets in November:

November brings a cooler shift to Kelowna, with crisp days and misty mornings setting the stage for the season ahead. It’s one of the rainier months in the valley, but that same precipitation transforms into fresh snow in the surrounding hills and mountains, perfect for the early start of winter adventures. Average temperatures range from highs of 6°C (42°F) to lows around -2°C (27°F), so pack plenty of warm layers to adjust as the day unfolds. Conditions are cooler by the lake and at higher elevations, making a good jacket essential for exploring outdoors. While clouds become more common, they cast a soft light over the landscape, offering a new and striking perspective on Kelowna’s signature views. You can monitor current conditions through the live webcam at the Kelowna Visitor Centre.
