Adventure-lover Sasha Taylor hails from Victoria but lived in many parts of the province before calling the Okanagan home. A self-professed "nerd, hot-yoga enthusiast, and cider aficionado," she currently resides in Vernon with her husband and two boys, who enjoy exploring the region and all it offers.

Before joining Tourism Kelowna's team for an 18-month maternity leave contract, Sasha spent nine years working in international education. Before that, she worked for a non-profit organization, where she could draw on her psychology and sociology education.
As Tourism Kelowna's Manager of Community & Visitor Engagement, Sasha oversees the operations of the Kelowna Visitor Centre (KVC) and supports Tourism Kelowna's team at the centre. Tourism Kelowna members and industry partners in and around Kelowna can connect with Sasha to discuss the KVC's operations, provide feedback about the KVC or its operations, and discuss staffing, hours of operation, and partnership opportunities.
"What I love most about my role is supporting a fantastic team of folks who are passionate about serving their community and representing the stunning Okanagan Valley," says Sasha.
Since joining the team, Sasha has been pleasantly surprised by the number of residents who engage with Tourism Kelowna's services. "I love interacting with our visitors and residents and being involved in community events," she adds.

What are your top 3 recommendations for things to do/see/explore in and around Kelowna?
- Red Bird Brewing (because it's both adult AND kid-friendly!)
- DaWett Indian Restaurant (their food is the best thing I've ever eaten in Kelowna!)
- Walk the waterfront boardwalk downtown
What's your idea of a perfect day in the Central Okanagan?
Start the day with coffee along the waterfront, breakfast at Bread Co., hiking Myra Canyon, lunch at Quails' Gate followed by an afternoon of wine tasting, then heading to Upside Cider for pizza and beer!
WHAT’S ONE FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF THAT PEOPLE MAY NOT KNOW?
- I enjoy walking barefoot in nature, lying in the grass, and stargazing. Soaking up nature is one of my favourite pastimes!
