For the fourth consecutive year, Tourism Kelowna is proud to deliver mobile visitor services to the District of Lake Country, providing information to both visitors and locals looking to explore Kelowna during the final weeks of spring and through the summer.

This season officially kicked off on June 6, with a fun-filled day of training and siteseeing, followed by a day biking on the Okanagan Rail Trail, and wrapping up at Conquer the Lake on June 8. These initial training and orientation days helped set our team of three Community Specialists up for success, under the direction of our Lake Country Supervisor, Morgan Korbatoff.

Operating on the weekends and on holidays throughout the summer, you'll find our mobile team onge again stationed at high-traffic areas within Lake Country, ready to welcome, guide, and inspire visitors and residents:

  • Every Friday, our team will be set up at the Lake Country Farmer's Market, where they'll also sell a curated collection of branded products.
  • Each Saturday, you can find the team set up along the Okanagan Rail Trail, where they'll be handing out sweet treats (freezies) to help beat the heat.
  • On Sundays, watch for the team as they rotate through various locations within the region, such as Kaloya Regional Park and Pebble Beach.

Tourism Kelowna was initially awarded the contract to pilot mobile visitor services for the District of Lake Country in April 2022. The pilot, which ran successfully from mid-May to September, saw mobile visitor service initiatives launched in high-traffic locations around Lake Country, such as beaches, parks, events, and attractions, to engage with residents and visitors.

The ongoing partnership between Tourism Kelowna and the District of Lake Country reflects a shared vision to support sustainable tourism growth, enhance the visitor experience, and support the local economy. Our team is proud to help share Lake Country's story and connect visitors (and resident) with the numerous uniquely Okanagan experiences available in and around the district.
