Love for Kelowna Day celebrates who we are and where we live—it's also the perfect opportunity to increase awareness and celebrate the importance of our region's tourism industry.
Launched in May 2020, Love for Kelowna Day was initially started to encourage residents to support local businesses, explore their favourite places, and share why they love Kelowna while travel was on hold. Now, the day centres around connecting residents and visitors with more tourism businesses and showcasing our community.
This year, Love for Kelowna Day will be celebrated on September 27, in conjunction with World Tourism Day. To help spread the love, encourage visitation to local businesses, and deliver additional advertising exposure, we are offering Tourism Kelowna Members the opportunity to be involved as partners for this full-day event.

- The video will feature a contest that encourages people to share their love for Kelowna by commenting and sharing.
Landing Page Advertising
- As mentioned, the Love for Kelowna Day landing page will be promoted through digital display ads with local outlets, through Tourism Kelowna social media channels, and more.
- The landing page includes contest information, the new video, and all business offers.
Activation at the Kelowna Visitor Centre
- To spread the love even further, visitor centre staff from Peachland, West Kelowna, and Lake Country will be on hand throughout the day to encourage people to visit a new place within the Central Okanagan.
- Upon entry into the visitor centre, the public will be encouraged to enter a draw for a Love for Kelowna gift basket.
- All Love for Kelowna apparel will be on sale for 20% off.
