As fall officially arrives and harvest gets underway, Wine Growers British Columbia (WGBC) has launched its third annual Fall for BC Wine campaign, inviting travellers to explore the most vibrant season in wine regions across the province.
Fall for BC Wine
After summer wildfires disrupted travel to some communities in the Thompson Okanagan, the campaign emphasizes that BC wine country is open and ready to welcome visitors, with harvest underway across the province and wineries continuing to offer exceptional wine, food, and fall experiences.
Running throughout September and October, the campaign encourages travellers to visit BC's wine regions, book experiences, and support local wineries.
“This fall, the best way to support wine country is to show up. Book the tasting. Stay for dinner. Visit a winery you have never been to. Buy a bottle to take home,” says Jeff Guignard, President and CEO of Wine Growers British Columbia. “You don’t have to choose between supporting local and having an incredible experience. BC wine country has fantastic wine, food, and hospitality waiting for you right now.”

Get Involved
WGBC has created an easy-to-use campaign toolkit, including key messages and visual assets, which tourism industry members in and around Kelowna can use to remind consumers that BC is open and to inspire new and returning visitors to explore area wineries and take part in unique fall experiences centred around food and wine.
If your business is hosting an upcoming event, like seasonal tastings, vineyard dinners, live music, new releases and other harvest experiences, be sure to add it to the WGBC event calendar, as well as to Tourism Kelowna's online calendar, for further amplification.
