The Apple Marathon, formally known as the Okanagan International Marathon & Kelowna Marathon, is known for its iconic scenic views along Lake Okanagan and the surrounding valley. The marathon will attract both elite and recreational runners, while providing a festival atmosphere the whole family can enjoy.
The 2025 event will offer an 8 km run, 21.1 km half marathon, and the 42.2 km marathon.
Marathon 42.2km
Flat and fast! The Apple Marathon is certified by Athletics Canada making it a Boston-qualifier. Perfect for first-timers, as well as, experienced runners hoping for a personal best. This two-loop course starts and finishes in City Park and loops through the park at the halfway mark. Fully stocked aid stations along the route to support participants and they take on breathtaking city and water views.
Half Marathon 21.1km
The single loop, certified half marathon course is one half of the marathon course making it the perfect choice for first-timers or those looking to run a fast PB. This race not only provides a great fitness challenge but also showcases the natural beauty and community spirit of Kelowna.
The 8K race is a scenic and exhilarating event where runners of all levels will enjoy a picturesque route that winds through Kelowna's charming cityscape, lush parks, and along the stunning Okanagan Lake shoreline. The route is flat and fast, making it accessible for both novice and seasoned runners.
