There are rich cultural experiences to be had in Kelowna, and our live music venues, from arenas to coffee shops, are a big part of that. It's no exaggeration to say that Kelowna's art and culture community is part of why I still choose to live here, so I wanted to highlight some of the venues in our community that make space for live music. There's a lot of cool stuff happening in Kelowna.

97 Street Pub

A casual pub centrally located off Highway 97. There's regularly live music in rotation at 97 Street, but when there's no one on stage, they have 16 TVs showing sports or music videos.
Barn Owl Brewing

As the name suggests, this independent brewery is located inside a barn. Opened in 2019, Barn Owl regularly features live music.
Bernie's Supper Club & Cinema

Opened in summer 2022, Bernie's is a new establishment located on the former site of Doc Willoughby's Pub. It has an intimate cinema and performance space on its top floor.
Blind Tiger Vineyards

The Blue Gator

BNA Brewing Co. & Eatery

BNA is an independent craft brewery located in a historic building that was originally constructed for the British North American Tobacco Company (hence the name). What is now a taproom with a rustic, old-fashioned vibe was once a space that was used to dry tobacco leaves and roll cigars. Live music isn't a regular feature at BNA, but they do occasionally host shows and festivals, such as the Fireside Festival.
CedarCreek Estate Winery

In 2022, CedarCreek hosted a Summer Concert Nights series in their garden overlooking their lush Home Block vineyards. Taking place in July and August, the series paired some great Canadian musical talent with delicious Okanagan Valley wines. Also, their Home Block restaurant is a delight—it is one of my favourite spots in Kelowna.
Copper Brewing Company

Creekside Theatre

The DunnEnzies success story started in downtown Kelowna in what was once a record shop. Their tasty food has seen them grow to multiple locations. Their Mission location at 4638 Lakeshore Road is the largest and the best place to catch a show with various performances on the calendar year-round.
Forbidden Spirits

Forbidden Spirits is a Kelowna-based distillery that makes all of its spirits from locally grown apples. In the warmer months, they host live music events on 'Forbidden Fridays' and 'Sinful Saturdays' with performances at their outdoor 'Forbidden Stage.'
