Mission Hill Family Estate has been recognized as one of the World’s 50 Best Vineyards, placing among the most celebrated international winery experiences. This recognition is a landmark moment not only for Mission Hill Family Estate’s iconic winery and vineyards, but also for the extraordinary Okanagan Valley wine-growing region.
A voting Academy made up of more than 700 select sommeliers, travel and wine tourism experts, and wine trade specialists awarded top honours to Mission Hill Family Estate—the only Canadian winery to make the ‘Top 50’ List. Mission Hill Family Estate (#45) joins an elite collection of respected international wine families and leaders, including Château d’Yquem (#9), Schloss Johannisberg (#2), Champagne Bollinger (#15), and Château Pape Clément (#27).

This honour adds to a string of significant wins for Mission Hill Family Estate, including Canada’s first 100-point red wine for the 2020 Oculus and an unprecedented six-time Canadian Winery of the Year award. It also comes on the heels of Kelowna being designated as Canada's first and only UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, in part to recognize and celebrate the region's agricultural and viticultural connection to the land.
