Canada's Fastest-Growing Metropolitan Area

Kelowna is officially the fastest-growing Census Metropolitan Area in Canada according to updated census data released in February by Statistics Canada. From 2016 to 2021, Kelowna's population growth rate was 14%, with the region's population growing from 194,892 to 222,162.

One of Canada's (and the World's) Most Loved Travel Destinations

Using its proprietary Tourism Sentiment Index analysis to produce a destination’s Tourism Sentiment Score®, Destination Think has compiled its list of the 50 Most Loved Travel Destinations for Canada, with Kelowna landing in the 4th spot. Kelowna also ranked in spot 96 on Destination Think's 100 Most Love Travel Destinations Around the World list. Both lists were ranked based on consumer sentiment for 2021. 


One of BC's Best Cities for Work

For the eighth year in a row, BCBusiness compiled its list of BC's Best Cities for Work, this year focusing on the most economically resilient cities in the province. For the sixth year in a row, Kelowna landed in the Top 10—spot number 4 for 2022, to be exact.
