Big White Ski Resort has been named Business of the Year at the 2025 Canadian Tourism Awards, presented by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC). The awards were held on November 20 as part of TIAC's Tourism Congress at the Hilton Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Quebec, bringing together tourism leaders from across the country.

As a Canadian family-run business, this is an incredible honour. I am humbled by this recognition, and proud to accept it on behalf of our entire team. This isn’t achieved by one person. Whether someone has worked at Big White for one season or for 40, I am grateful for their dedication and proud to share this award with them.
— Peter Plimmer, Owner and CEO, Big White Ski Resort

The Business of the Year award is one of 12 national honours that recognize excellence and leadership in the tourism sector. The category highlights organizations that show strong business performance, a high level of customer service, and a commitment to supporting Canadian tourism.
