Destination British Columbia (DBC) is accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis for the fall 2024 intake of Project One of the BC Tourism Climate Resiliency Initiative (BCTCRI). Through this project, tourism businesses gain access to free, one-on-one, tailored support for incorporating environmental sustainability or climate adaptation measures into their operations, strategy, and storytelling.
As outlined on DBC's website, those businesses accepted into the program will:
- Be connected with an experienced Program Advisor and other sustainability and climate adaptation experts, who will help create a "roadmap to resiliency."
- Learn how to integrate sustainability and climate adaptation best practices into their operations.
- Receive one-on-one coaching to implement the roadmap.
To be eligible to participate, businesses must:
- Be registered, headquartered, and operate in BC; and
- Offer a tourism experience (e.g. attraction) or tourism service (e.g. accommodation, transportation, visitor service, food service) to visitors.
More information about Project One and a link to the online application form can be accessed on DBC's website.
