Kassidy joined Tourism Kelowna's team just over a year ago. As Retail Coordinator, Kassidy oversees Tourism Kelowna's retail program at the Kelowna Visitor Centre (KVC), managing the organization's own line of branded products and working with local vendors to showcase Kelowna through the consignment retail program.

"I absolutely love seeing the new products and creations our consignment vendors bring into the visitor centre," notes Kassidy. "Whether it's a new flavour of jam or an original painting, seeing the pride they have in their creation makes me feel so proud of our community."

Tourism Kelowna members and industry partners in and around Kelowna can connect with Kassidy to discuss retail opportunities, including the feature artist program, to learn more about wholesale opportunities, to discuss retail opportunities at Okanagan + Co., or request a donation for your business or event.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE TRAVEL MEMORY?
  • Trekking through the Banaue Rice Terraces in the northern Philippines with my mom! The Rice Terraces were carved about 2,000 years ago and kept intact by the ancestors of the present-day Philippines. By far some of the most beautiful sites I’ve seen. We were guided by a local named Mario who shared knowledge of the land and its history. I’m so thankful to have experienced this.
What are your top 3 recommendations for things to do/see/explore in and around Kelowna?
  • Head to Arrowleaf on a Saturday or Sunday for a cream puff, a glass of wine, and great service!
  • Bike the Okanagan Rail Trail. Next to Kalamalka Lake is by far my favourite spot; the views are incredible.
  • If you want to get out of town, Beaver Lake Resort is a wonderful spot to disconnect in a cozy cabin. Rent a boat and bring your fishing rod for some extra fun!
What's the best thing you've ever eaten in Kelowna and why?
  • Many moons ago, I had a seafood boil at Broken Anchor. It was a very good friend’s birthday; the restaurant was booked out for us, and the food did not stop coming. The chef not only single-handedly cooked us a three-course meal but also made time to sit with us to talk about the food we were eating and the wine we were drinking. It will forever be an experience I cherish.
What's your idea of a perfect day in the Central Okanagan?
  • I’d start with brunch at Sunny’s. After this, all I'd want to do is soak up some rays at the beach with my dog and throw sticks for him. Top the day off with a cold beer and some BBQ, and I may just be the happiest girl in the Okanagan.
WHAT’S ONE FUN FACT ABOUT YOURSELF THAT PEOPLE MAY NOT KNOW?
  • I used to solo travel Asia for 3-6 months at a time.
