Did you know the Kelowna Visitor Centre (KVC) is also an event venue? Tourism Kelowna invites its Members, local groups and organizations, and local vendors to take advantage of our waterfront space to host gatherings and community events. Our team also hosts activations throughout the year, working with tourism-related businesses, as well as local vendors and artists, to showcase their products or work.
Hosting Your Event at the KVC
Kelowna Chamber Commerce ConneX, 2018
Groups of just over 100 can be accommodated in the KVC, with additional capacity available when the outdoor space is added. To spread the word about your event, if it's open to the public, we will create a digital display ad that will be showcased within the KVC and will also add your event to our online calendar, which is one of the most frequented pages on our website.
Thanks to the KVC's floor-to-ceiling windows, guests can take in the expansive views of Okanagan Lake and the surrounding mountains, which are even more magical at sunset. The spot also has a rich connection to the city's history, as it was once a welcoming site when the dock opened in 1948 for the ferry link between Downtown Kelowna and the Westside.
Our seasonally available outdoor fenced patio features tables, chairs, and umbrellas for shade on sunny days. Thanks to a partnership between Westbank First Nation and the City of Kelowna, a monument of historic syilx Chief, Charlie swkn̓cut, who played an instrumental role in the history of the Okanagan during the contact era, now welcomes guests at the south-west corner of the building near the patio.
We pride ourselves on offering an inclusive and safe space for all.
