If jaw-dropping landscapes and golden hour magic are your kind of thing, chances are you've already admired the work of Tristin Bailey. His photography and videography stop you mid-scroll, pulling you into the raw beauty of the Okanagan through dramatic mountain backdrops, glassy lake reflections, and trails less travelled.

Born and raised in Kelowna, Tristin calls the Black Mountain area home. His content isn’t curated from afar; it’s rooted in local knowledge and lived experience. “I’ve always loved the outdoors,” he says, “and I wanted to share the uniqueness of Kelowna with others.” And he does through lens-flared sunsets, rugged trail shots, and scenes that make you feel like you’re standing right there with him.

Tristin’s adventures aren’t just for the camera. When he’s not behind the lens, you’ll find him deep in the backcountry or fly fishing from a paddleboard. “Fly fishing, hiking, camping, rock climbing, snowboarding, hockey… pretty much all of it influences what I create.” That passion for the outdoors fuels every frame of his content, capturing moments that feel both cinematic and honest.

Tristin Hiking Brunswick Mountain
An avid hiker and explorer of all regions in British Columbia. Tristin is pictured here at Brunswick Mountain, North Shore Mountains on the Howe Sound.

Kelowna, for Tristin, is an outdoor playground. “We’ve got everything I love—hiking, paddling, snow sports—and some of the most gorgeous lake views and sunsets you’ll ever see.” The bonus? Amazing local food, cold craft beer, and a community vibe that keeps things real.

So, planning your first Kelowna trip? Tristin’s top three recommendations:

  • Cheers at Red Bird Brewing: “A great spot to kick back and experience local craft beer culture.”

  • Hike Knox Mountain: “It’s a classic for a reason—those views don’t get old.”

  • Try Indoor Climbing at Gneiss: “Perfect for rainy days or anyone wanting to challenge themselves with something new.”

And for those in-the-know moments? Tristin says: “For the best golden hour and sunset views, hit up Knox or Johns Family Nature Conservancy. You won’t regret it.”
