1. Eligibility
The Tourism Kelowna 100K Giveaway (the "Contest") is open to legal residents of Canada who are 19 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Tourism Kelowna, their immediate family members, and persons domiciled with them are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law.
2. Contest Period
The Contest opens on April 13, 2026 and closes on April 19, 2026 at 11:59 PM PDT (the "Contest Period"). Entries submitted outside of the Contest Period will not be eligible.
3. How to Enter
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. To enter, participants must, during the Contest Period: (a) follow @tourismkelowna on Instagram; (b) like the official contest post; and (c) leave a comment on the official contest post. Tagging friends in additional comments constitutes bonus entries. Sharing the post to Stories is encouraged. Entries must be submitted via the official 100K Giveaway Instagram post as outlined in the post caption.
4. Prizes
- Grand Prize (1 winner): A Kelowna Experience Package valued at approximately $1,000 CAD, consisting of a $500 gift card to a Tourism Kelowna member accommodation property, a $250 gift card to a Tourism Kelowna member restaurant, and a $250 gift card to a Tourism Kelowna member activity or experience business, all of the winner's choosing and subject to availability.
- Secondary Prizes (10 winners): One $100 gift card each to a Tourism Kelowna member business of the winner's choosing, subject to availability.
No cash alternative to any prize will be offered. Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value. Tourism Kelowna reserves the right to substitute any prize or prize component with another of equivalent value without notice, at its sole discretion. All transportation, accommodation (other than prize accommodation where applicable), fuel, and other travel-related costs are the sole responsibility of the winner and are not included in the prize.
5. Winnery Selection and Notification
Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries on April 20, 2026. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. Winners will be notified via Direct Message from @tourismkelowna on Instagram. Tourism Kelowna will request the winner's email address to coordinate prize redemption. Winners must respond and confirm acceptance of their prize within 2 business days of notification. Failure to respond within this period will result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected at Tourism Kelowna's discretion.
6. Prize Redemption
Prizes must be redeemed at participating Tourism Kelowna member businesses located in Kelowna and the Central Okanagan. Prior to receiving their prize, winners must sign Tourism Kelowna's Gift Card Redemption Form, acknowledging receipt of their gift card(s). Winners must select their preferred member businesses by April 27, 2026, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing with Tourism Kelowna. All transportation, accommodation (other than prize accommodation where applicable), fuel, and other travel-related costs are the sole responsibility of the winner and are not included in the prize.
Where possible, Tourism Kelowna will provide digital gift cards to winners who are unable to redeem prizes in person; however, this is subject to availability at the selected member business. If digital gift cards are not available, winners outside of the Central Okanagan may request that physical gift cards be mailed. Tourism Kelowna is not responsible for gift cards that are lost, delayed, damaged, or undelivered once mailed. If a winner is unable to travel to Kelowna, accepts digital or mailed gift cards (where available), or fails to redeem the prize within the designated timeframe, the prize will be forfeited. Tourism Kelowna is not responsible for any unused portion of a prize once issued. It is the sole responsibility of winners located in the Central Okanagan to collect any physical gift cards from our Kelowna Visitor Centre once ready.
7. Limitation of Liability
By entering the Contest, participants release and hold harmless Tourism Kelowna, its directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, damages, or liability arising from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize. Tourism Kelowna is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries, or for any technical failures that may affect entry submission.
8. Privacy
Personal information collected in connection with this Contest is collected by Tourism Kelowna for the purpose of administering the Contest. This information is kept confidential and will not be shared except to the limited extent required by applicable law.
9. General Conditions
This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta Platforms, Inc. By entering, participants acknowledge that this Contest is in no way affiliated with Instagram or Meta. Tourism Kelowna reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest at any time for any reason, including in the event of fraud, technical failures, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Any attempt to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of law and will result in disqualification.
