Family Activities

One great Kelowna day after another makes for the best summer holiday ever

Day one:  Start your day off with a leisurely hike in the Okanagan Mountain Park or make your way up to the Knox Mountain Lookout. Railway buffs and nature nuts will love biking the trails at Myra Canyon Trestles... and there many other parks and trails if you have some time explore.

And of course, there’s always family days at the lake. Rent a boat, play in the wake, and admire the Okanagan landscape from the middle of the lake. Or hang-ten at the beach. With more than 30 in the area, sand castle aficionados will tell you that Kelowna is the perfect place for care-free, beachy summer days.  You can play volleyball in the sand with your kid and after your match, reward yourself with a glass (or two) of local Okanagan wine while your children cannonball and dog paddle in the water.

Catching a free, outdoor concert in the park with an ice-cream cone is the perfect way to enjoy a warm summer evening and cap off the first day of summer holidays in Kelowna.
