Led by fearless sisters, Emily and Electra, Meadow Vista Honey Wines has been producing mead since 2009.
Working with between 100 to 150 beehives, the team at Meadow Vista produce eight different meads, including a sparkling, that all range from dry to off-dry, with the exception of one dessert wine. Since 50 hives are located right on the 5.5 acre property, there are plenty of other products that they make using what’s found right on the farm, like lavender bath bombs, raw and unpasteurized honey, tea, and beeswax candles.
Also core to their business is working with local farmers and other small businesses in the Kelowna area. Hives are placed in orchards in the area to help pollinate crops and partnerships have been formed to put together a variety of gift boxes.
