Where to stay:

The Cove Lakeside Resort on the western shores of Okanagan Lake offers plenty of exciting activities for families – access to two pools, a beach, water sport rentals, fire pits and much more. They also have a variety of room types that will help families of all sizes find a comfortable place to stay.

The Manteo at Eldorado Resort is another great option. On the eastern shores of Okanagan Lake along Lakeshore Road is a convenient location in the middle of everything. Ride bikes along the Mission Creek Greenway or to downtown and at the resort enjoy the private beach,  pool and family friendly restaurant. 

Day 1

Have Fun with Animals

Visit Arion Therapeutic Farm to learn about animal rescue and the healing properties of caring for and being in the presence of animals. The Farm also has a B & B with all-inclusive vegan options and an outdoor pool.

Learn about the animals from down under. Kangaroo Creek Farm is home to ‘roos, wallabies, capybaras, emus, parrots and much more. It’s a great place to get up close and personal with human friendly and curious animals in a safe environment. All proceeds go directly to taking care of the animals on site.

Day 2

Enjoy the Deliciousness of the Okanagan

Spending the day visiting and exploring farm markets, orchards and u-picks is a great way to teach kids about where their food comes from. Visit Meadow Vista Honey Wines or Arlo’s Honey Farm to learn about the importance of bees. Stop by Twin Oaks Orchard to pick organic cherries, apples, pears, and much more. Paynter’s Fruit Market gives a glimpse at farm life. Chat with a staff member to learn all the ins and outs of agriculture and healthy eating.

Day 3

Make it a Lake Day

With 30 beaches in the Kelowna area, it’s easy to enjoy a day at the lake. Pack a picnic and beach toys and soak up the Okanagan sunshine. Okanagan Beach Rentals offers paddleboards and kayaks for rent at five different beaches in the area making it easy to get on the water. For more adrenaline, rent a boat or jet ski from the Downtown Marina or try parasailing with Ogopogo Parasailing or contact Okanagan Flyboard for a water-powered adventure like no other.  

Day 4

Get Outdoors & Active

Rent bikes from Myra Canyon Bike Rentals and take in the morning views of downtown Kelowna and Okanagan Lake while pedalling across 18 trestle bridges and through two tunnels at Myra Canyon Bellevue Provincial Park. After that, explore the Myra Canyon Adventure Park for ziplining, climbing and exploring. End the day with a hike to a waterfall at Bear Creek, Hardy Falls or to take in the sunset over Okanagan Lake at the top of Knox Mountain.
