Karat Chocolate

Jaw Dropping Delights

Julian Helman thought it would a great way to make a few extra bucks to use to buy Christmas presents, little did he know, his offer to make home-made, high-quality chocolates in late 2016 would lead to the successful business he owns today. Though it all started with chocolate, Karat has evolved to include pastries, cakes, and confections that are just as fun to look at as they are delicious to eat.

QB Gelato

Proudly Part of the 2%

Victor and Kevin, owner/operators of QB Gelato & Cafe, never do anything at less than 110% and that is why they are proud to be one of the few gelaterias in the world that produce everything from scratch. 98% of gelaterias in the world use pre-made bases and/or ingredients, but not QB, they do not use preservatives, and they source products locally and produce small batches of gelato daily. The bounty of the Okanagan provides them with an amazing array of ingredients from local farmers and producers that, in turn, helps them support other small businesses in the community.
