Did you know that you can actually surf on Okanagan Lake while in Kelowna? Well, you can on a motorized surfboard! This is a super unique (and brand new!) activity in Kelowna that involves riding on a surfboard with a motor attached to it propelling you forward so that you can actually surf.
On the jet board, you will explore Okanagan Lake taking in the views and having a few laughs along the way.
Don’t be mistaken though, these jetboards go fast! On the jetboard, you can reach speeds of up to 55 km/h (34 miles/h). This makes for a thrilling ride and allows you to cover a lot of ground exploring the lake. It’s a great alternative to a seadoo, plus, it’s something that you’ve probably never done before! Jetsurfing is also much easier than traditional surfing and after some simple instructions, you’ll have the hang of it within a couple of tries – anybody can do it!
Kelowna is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded tm̓xʷúlaʔxʷ (land) of the syilx/Okanagan people who have resided here since time immemorial
