The H2O Adventure and Fitness Centre is Kelowna’s premier swimming facility.
The Centre, which opened in 2009, features an Olympic size 8-lane 50-meter pool, four diving boards, as well as two hot tubs and wave pool. With an adjustable floor and two bulkheads, the space allows for a variety of activities and events such as a 25 or 50 meter swimming competitions, water polo, artistic swimming, diving, etc.
Located next to the Capital News Centre, with its two arenas and two indoor turf fields, the sports facility also includes a gym and fitness areas, spacious changing rooms, and multi-purpose rooms.
The facility includes:
- 8 lane 50 meter Olympic size pool
- Pool depths range from 1.5m to 3.9m
- Springboard diving with two 1-metre and two 3-metre boards
- On deck seating for 350 - 400 people
- Starting blocks and platforms
- Lane ropes
- Backstroke flags
- Electronic scoreboard
- State of the art PA and underwater system
- Fitness Centre, gymnasium, dressing rooms & showers
- Meeting rooms for officials and/or teams if required
