Originally planned to be a farm-based brewery on his hops farm outside of Greenwood in Boundary country, plans changed and we relocated to Kelowna. Inspired by other craft brewers like James Walton of Storm brewing, Oliver built the brewhouse from scratch himself (mostly), sourcing parts from various places and industries. Although the brewhouse has an oaken coopered kettle as it’s the main vessel, it is electrically heated and computer controlled for temperature, times and pumps. Wood has been used for thousands of years to make beer and Oliver had always had a dream of building a modern wooden brewery which he has now achieved.
