Each summer, Tourism Kelowna's meetings and conferences team delivers the best of the Okanagan (in this case, fresh cherries) to corporate, association, and third-party meeting planners in Calgary and Toronto.
This year, both Pat Gappmayr, our business development consultant in Toronto, and Nicolle Gomez de Sousa, our business development consultant in Calgary, delivered fresh cherries to 10 meeting planners in their respective markets.
"The delivery is always very well received; the meeting planners can't believe we fly cherries from Kelowna into Toronto and Calgary for them. They are also surprised to learn that Kelowna is the largest cherry producer in Canada," says Pat.
