This past Thursday, Tourism Kelowna welcomed the city’s business community to the new Kelowna Visitor Centre for the August Commerce ConneX.Hosted jointly by Tourism Kelowna and the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, the evening was a resounding success, with 178 people passing through the visitor centre during the two-hour event.

Guests were welcomed to the event by Kelowna Chamber of Commerce Board President, Carmen Sprag, and Tourism Kelowna President & CEO, Lisanne Ballantyne. In her welcome address, Lisanne shared with the crowd that over 20,000 people have been welcomed into the Kelowna Visitor Centre since it opened; this is more people than in the entire year at the old location.

As they mingled throughout the visitor centre, attendees were treated to delicious appetizers, courtesy of Salt & Brick’s Chef Holmes, along with wine and cider, courtesy of The View Winery and Ward's Cider.
