This webinar, taking place on September 8 from 10-11 a.m. PDT, is the first in a three-part series, HR Strategy Toolkit: Recruit, Retain, Manage, hosted by Women’s Enterprise Centre (WEC). Workplace Accessibility Grant Info Session

Learn more about the Workplace Accessibility Grant in this free webinar from Small Business BC (SBBC). Taking place on September 9 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. PDT, as part of Disability Employment Month in BC, this session will provide an overview of the grant program and its application process and answer frequently asked questions. Elements of Truth: Before Reconciliation

kinSHIFT and Purppl are hosting their four-part “experiential workshop series” starting this September, with the first workshop, Earth: Impacts of Colonization, taking place on September 9. Each of the four workshops are 2.5 hours long, taking place every Thursday, from 3-5:30 p.m. PDT. The rest of the September workshops are as follows:

  • Air: Expanding Perspectives, September 16
  • Fire: Awareness of Power and Privilege, September 23
  • Water: Shared Responsibilities, September 30

Unicorns.LIVE

Unicorns.LIVE has a few upcoming live-streamed programs:

  • On September 7 and 14, tune in at 6:30 p.m. PDT Two-Spirit Tea with Ella and Simma. The topics for the two shows are Drag Shows & Competitions and Indigenous Art, respectively.
  • The Black Phone podcast sees three Kelowna locals come together to "challenge controversial topics with the goal of progress." The next edition, Our Home and Native Land, will air on September 13 at 6:30 p.m. PDT.
