Destination Canada Tourism Industry Webinar

Destination Canada will be hosting its next webinar at 3:30 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, May 12. Joining Destination Canada as speakers will be The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages, as well as the Tourism Industry Association Canada. How to use the CEWS Calculator

The BC Tourism Resiliency Network is hosting a hands-on webinar for tourism businesses to learn how to use the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS) Calculator on the Canada Revenue Agency website. Small Business BC (SBBC) Webinars

Google Strategies for Food and Beverage Businesses: On Thursday, May 7, from 1-2 p.m. PDT, SBBC will be hosting a webinar for people in the food and beverage industry, focused on using Google My Business to boost online business. You can also join in on SBBC’s Digital Meetups, which this week focus on the food and beverage industry.

COVID-19 Workplace Health and Safety: On Friday, May 8, from 10-11 a.m. PDT, Chris Back from WorkSafeBC will discuss the preventative measures businesses can take to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

The MX/ Online

Kelowna’s monthly LGBT2Q+ networking event is moving online. Join in on Thursday, May 7 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. PDT for a 15-minute presentation about the various government supports currently available, along with a virtual hangout and happy hour. Advance registration is required.

Women’s Enterprise Centre (WEC) Interactive Webinar

Each week, WEC—an organization focused on supporting women-owned businesses—is hosting a “Strength in Numbers” webinar, where entrepreneurs can stay connected. On Tuesday, May 12 at 2 p.m. PDT, the free webinar will be focused on self-care. Click here to register.
