On Thursday, March 4, from 10-11:30 a.m. PST, the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) and GreenStep Solutions will host the first of two workshops focused on carbon training, providing tourism businesses with information on how to measure their carbon footprint and determine how to reduce emissions and save money. The Tourism Industry Association of BC (TIABC) and the BC Hotel Association (BCHA) will be co-hosting the first BC Tourism & Hospitality Conference from March 8-11. The theme for the virtual event is Mission Possible, with each day’s presentations, keynotes, and panel discussions focused around one of four key areas: outlook, collaboration, growth, and innovation. As part of the OK We Got This initiative, the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce and WorkSafeBC are teaming up to host a webinar on Thursday, March 11, from 12-1 p.m. PST. Tourism HR Canada will be presenting its annual Labour Market Forum virtually from March 15-18, 2021.
