New World: 2021 Digital LGBT+ Global Business Summit

CGLCC, Canada’s LGBT  + Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a four-day, virtual summit “aimed to educate, connect and grow the LGBT+ business community.” Join in from June 7 to 10 to hear from with business leaders, connect through one-on-one matchmaking sessions, take advantage of networking opportunities, and more. Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) Member TALK

Members can join TIAC President and CEO, Beth Potter, for June’s Member TALK, which is taking place Tuesday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. PDT. Elements of Truth Before Reconciliation

AIR: Expanding Perspective is the second part of a four-part experiential workshop series, Elements of Truth: Before Reconciliation, hosted by kinSHIFT and Purppl. The session will introduce attendees to “the connection between implicit bias and injustice and look at how embracing diversity is necessary for collective survival.” The workshop takes place on Tuesday, June 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. PDT, with ticket prices ranging from $112.46 to $223.85. The third and fourth parts of the series, FIRE: Awareness of Power and Privilege and WATER: Shared Responsibilities, will take place on June 15 and 22 respectively.


CSAE BC Executive Roundtable

On Wednesday, June 9, the BC chapter of the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) will be hosting a roundtable with Strix Insights Founder/Principal Consultant, Alli Marshall, to discuss land acknowledgement as part of reconciliation, as told from Alli's perspective as a "settler's work-in-progress journey." Small Business BC Live Webinars

June is free education month at Small Business BC, with more than 27 webinars and sessions being hosted in partnership with WorkSafeBC. Here are some of the online seminars taking place during the second week:

Managing Stress Before it Manages You

The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association is hosting a free workshop led by Angela Pomeroy, who has her own leadership consulting and coaching business and teaches at Okanagan College. The interactive session, which will provide useful tips and tools to manage stress, will take place on Thursday, June 10, from 1-2:30 p.m. PDT. Registration can be completed online.

On Saturday, July 12, the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce is hosting a virtual session from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. PDT providing information on the following topics related to board governance:
