Commercial Insurance Update

The BC Hotel Association and the Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) are hosting a webinar on Tuesday, December 8, from 1-2 p.m. PST to “highlight some of the key economic dynamics impacting Canada’s property and casualty insurers, how the industry, governments and businesses are working in partnership to address the current challenges, and more importantly, share resources you can use to assist members of your community.” Click here for more information and to register.

LGBT+ Travel Market-Ready Seminars

Join the CGLCC, Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce, on December 10 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. PST to learn more about the LGBT+ travel market and for best practices and ideas to use in your business when welcoming this key group of travellers. Supporting Local Business; Essential to our Economy and Communities

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is hosting this event, in conjunction with Canadian Western Bank (CWB), which will include a panel discussion on the realities of doing business during the pandemic and how industry members can work together through the pandemic and into recovery. COVID-19 Government Measures for Businesses and Individuals

The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade is hosting a webinar on Friday, December 11, from 12-1 p.m. PST, providing updates on a variety of government measures related to COVID-19, including the Canada Employee Wage Subside (CEWS), Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA), and Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS). Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS) Q & A Sessions

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is hosting a series of Q&A sessions to answer questions about the Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy (CERS):

  • English Language Sessions: Wednesday, December 9, 10-11 a.m. PT
  • French Language Sessions: Friday, December 11, 10-11 a.m. PT
