Supporting Mental Health: Navigating Uncertainty

On Wednesday, December 16, at 12 p.m. PST, The Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association (TOTA) will be hosting the next webinar in its Tourism Resiliency Program Series, focused on practical strategies that can be used to promote personal wellness in the coming months and beyond as we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic. TIAC State of the Industry

Also, on Wednesday, December 16, the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) and Twenty31 will be hosting a state of the industry webinar at 10 a.m. PST. The webinar is only open to TIAC members. Click here to register.

 

Destination BC (DBC) Tourism Industry Calls

DBC continues to host its industry calls, taking place bi-weekly on Thursdays, to provide updates about government support, share research and analytics, and provide updates from various sectors. To participate in the calls, please email covid19response@destinationbc.ca.

 

Hospitality & Tourism Update

The Tourism Industry Association of BC (TIABC), BC Hotel Association (BCHA), and TOTA will jointly host a webinar on Friday, December 18, at 1 p.m. PST, to discuss the work done by the Tourism Task Force and the Tourism & Hospitality Coalition, and to provide a general update on the industry and a look forward to 2021. Women in Leadership: Politics

The final webinar in the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce’s Okanagan College Speakers Series for 2020 will take place on Friday, December 18, from 12-1 p.m. PST, with three high-profile leaders—MP Kelowna Lake-Country, Tracy Gray; MLA Kelowna-Mission, Renee Merrifield; and, Kelowna City Councillor, Gail Given—sharing their experiences as woman in senior government and their perspectives on women in politics.
