The Visitor Experience team has been working with several local community groups to host their events in the Kelowna Visitor Centre this winter. In December, the Okanagan Young Professionals held their annual Jingle Mingle event to celebrate the end of 2019 and the connections made within the community.

On Thursday, January 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Rebellious Unicorns will host their mx. event in the Kelowna Visitor Centre. Tickets are $10 and 100% of proceed go to the Etcetera Youth Group. The event is described as "an opportunity for the LGBT2Q+ community to network, gather, and socialize. This is also an opportunity to meet like-minded people outside of the club and off the those lovely apps. Allies are encouraged to join."

Wednesday, February 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Green Okanagan Sustainability Social will also be held in the Kelowna Visitor Centre. This event is free to attend and is a chance to network with other sustainable minds from the Okanagan and to hear what initiatives are being taken to keep the travel and tourism industry here in Kelowna more sustainable from a cultural, economic, social, and environmental perspective.
